Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. Her early years were spent listening to traditional music, old boleros, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other dramatic performances. Ana began learning to play and sing at an early age together with her mom. The formal singing instruction when she was 16 years old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In her early career, she was spent performing with various opera choruses, chamber groups in Guadalajara. When she moved from Mexico to the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. as a music teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in various community-based projects because of her passion and enthusiasm for music. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able share with others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes to encourage younger generations to continue the tradition.
